  • The Knockout 3223 Mission Street San Francisco, CA, 94110 United States (map)

The Xth installment of ROTFEST, the festival that has its origins in the infamous San Mateo rock squat/den of iniquity known as THE ROT! The Rot was musical home to now-legendary acts such as The Mummies, Phantom Surfers, and festival founder David Nudelman’s bands The Wild Breed and Three Stoned Men. Rotfest features a lineage of bands ranging from the late 1980s San Mateo Sound™ all the way through mid-90s Tom Guido-era Purple Onion to present-day SF/Bay Area budget rock and Burger Boogaloo style rock and roll. One of the highlights of the musical calendar for true believers in party time rock and roll!!!

THIS YEAR’S LINEUP: 3 Stoned Men, Hiroshi Hasegawa's Poontang Wranglers (featuring the Commodore), The UKE Band, We Could be Friends, The Resineators, and the Brothers Nudelman.

3 Stoned Men

“Three Stoned Men were the brainchild of David Nudelman, who was a key fixture in the early 90’s Bay Area garage scene (along with The Icky Boyfriends, The Mummies, 10,000 or so Gregg Turkington Projects, and a million other left-field, lo-fi acts. As the band name and album title suggests, these dudes were were really, really into getting high. Take such track titles as “Hey Brother Roll Me A Joint”, “Stoned”, “Cotton Mouth Blues”, and the penultimate bummer jam, “Couldn’t Get High”, for examples.” – Urban Kill

“Get ready to match the stars! San Francisco's game-show-addicted, panic rock overlords the RESINEATORS deliver the ultimate $500 response with their second album, an instant California drug-classic of psych-expanded rockers. Panelists DAVID "THE NUDE" NUDELMAN (3 STONED MEN, THE WILD BREED) and ANTHONY "SILVER-STREAK" BEDARD (ICKY BOYFRIENDS, LEATHER UPPERS) are a telepahtic, two-man collision drill forging primal-concussive, battered and deep-fried cans of corn. Includes the fan-favorite "Underage Girl Get Out!!!," as well as a panic-drenched cover of Ike & Tina's drug party anthem, "Contact High." Amazing.” — Midheaven.com

The Nudelman Bros.

Featuring real life brothers David Nudelman and Aaron Nudelman (Hot Lunch, Men’s Club).
